🧪 Overview

Transparent antibacterial gels are clear hydroalcoholic systems designed for fast and effective hand disinfection without rinsing. They combine ethanol or isopropyl alcohol with moisturizers and thickeners to produce a visually clear, stable, and skin-friendly product.

1. Typical Composition (for 100 kg batch)

• Ethanol or Isopropyl Alcohol: 65–75 kg

• Carbomer (940 or equivalent): 0.5–0.8 kg

• Glycerin / Propylene Glycol: 2–4 kg

• Aqua (Deionized Water): 20–30 kg

• Triethanolamine (TEA) or Aminomethyl Propanol: q.s. to pH 6.5–7.0

• Perfume, Colorant, Preservative (optional): as required

2. Manufacturing Process

1. Hydration: Disperse carbomer in deionized water under moderate stirring until completely hydrated.

2. Addition of Humectant: Add glycerin or propylene glycol to enhance skin comfort.

3. Alcohol Incorporation: Slowly add ethanol or isopropyl alcohol under gentle agitation to minimize evaporation.

4. Neutralization: Adjust pH with TEA or Aminomethyl Propanol to obtain clear gel consistency.

5. Perfuming & Homogenization: Add fragrance and mix until homogeneous.

6. Deaeration & Filling: Remove air bubbles and fill into sealed containers to prevent alcohol loss.

• pH: 6.0 – 7.0
