Behenyl Alcohol. Vegarol® 1822 acts as a viscosity modifier, emulsifier, emollient, binder, skin- and hair conditioning agent. It functions as an adjuvant for combining non-miscible fluids into an emulsion.
The special molecular structure of Vegarol® 1822 emulsifier reduces the surface tension between the hydrophilic and lipophilic constituents, thus promoting the formation of finely dispersed mixtures. The emulsion stabilizer improves and helps to maintain the stability and shelf-life of dispersions.
Also modifies the consistency of the end product according to its purpose. Applications include facial & body care products, massage oils, aerosols and sprays, hair care, eye and lip care, sun care and decorative cosmetics as well as hair rinses and masks.
