Cocamidopropyl Betaine. TEGO® Betain P 50 C by Evonik is a cost-efficient, preservative-free, concentrated, mild amphoteric surfactant. It contains coconut fatty acid (0.8%), sodium chloride (6.8%), glycerol (2.4%) and water (55%). It is based on RSPO certified palm kernel oil. This provides superior thickening performance which can deliver reduced formulation cost.
It is an easily processable secondary surfactant and can be used in a wide range of surfactant systems delivering excellent foam combines with a pleasant skin feel and improved mildness. It is more efficient in thickening and foaming due to slightly different C-chain distribution between coconut oil and palm kernel oil. TEGO® Betain P 50 C is used in all products for skin & hair cleansing, such as shampoos, shower & foam baths and liquid soaps. Also, used in body washes and oral care.
