Helianthus annuus(sunflower)seed wax. Acts as a consistency factor. It is a complex mixture of natural (vegetable) origin, consisting of long chain non-glyceride esters and a small amount of free fatty alcohols and free fatty acids. This wax has a new high melting point and functions to regulate consistency in stick emulsions. It improves oil binding, emolliency, film formation, and lubricity.
In sticks, the wax contributes to hardness, texture, strength and mold release. In many formulations, it can be used as an alternative .
