Sodium Benzoate (and) Potassium Sorbate (and) Aqua. Aquaguard® NK12 distributed by Brenntag Specialties (EMEA) is an aqueous preservative blend suitable for rinse-off and leave-on products. It has a broad spectrum of activity and is effective against bacteria, yeast, mold and fungi.
It is designed for use in skin-friendly formulations with pH values up to 5.5. It is free from parabens, thiazolinone and formaldehyde and supplied as an easy to use, readily dispersible liquid which is alcohol and solvent free. Aquaguard® NK12 can be used in O/W as well as W/O emulsions. It is recommended for shampoos, shower gels, creams, lotions, wet wipes, eye care, lip and oral care formulations as well as products for children under 3 years.
