STEPAN MWA-553 is a fatty acid ester that can be used for metalworking formulations in synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants in high-temperature applications and for improved lubrication properties. It can act as a stand-alone chlorinated paraffin replacement or can be combined with phosphate esters offering further enhancements. STEPAN MWA-553 shows improved lubrication by showing reduced average scar when compared to the current industry standard. It also shows higher failure loads when compared to the current industry standard.
