Allanblackia Butter is derived from the tallow tree. It is off white in colour and has a neutral taste and odour. If the butter is carefully refined, bleached and deodorised a product is obtained which meets the stringent requirements for cosmetic applications. This product gives stable emulsions due to the uniform triglyceride composition with a high oxidative stability, and it has good emolliency properties making it a very suitable replacement for many synthetic emolliency enhancers.
