Isostearyl neopentanoate. Schercemol™ 185 ester by Lubrizol acts as a mild emollient. It is a non-greasy, long chain ester exhibiting fast absorbency and substantive emolliency. It has an exceptionally low cloud point and therefore aids as a cloud point depressant, emulsion stabilizer and freeze-thaw stabilizer. It offers low level of skin and eye irritation.
It can also be used as a pigment binder in matte finish makeup and adds creamy feel to powders. Schercemol™ 185 ester is used in color cosmetics and eye-, face- & sun care products.
