Polyurethane-47. Acts as a binder, film former and solubilizer. It is a unique viscoelastic urethane polymer imparting flexibility and softness, not typically found in traditional plasticizers. When added to the anhydrous phase, it effectively binds the components into a homogeneous mixture providing for easy emulsification.
This urethane polymer is effective in solubilizing common sunscreens and providing excellent film forming properties with wash off resistance. Additionally, it provides intense shine properties in both color cosmetics and hair care applications.
